With understated sophistication, Montblanc transforms a classic watch and writing instruments into limited edition tributes to the beauty, energy and history of Singapore. These pieces crafted with passion and skill, will not only be a fine lifetime companion but also a reminder of the country’s most special birthday yet. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s Independence on August 9, 2015, Montblanc introduces a limited edition Star Classique timepiece and a range of commemorative Meisterstück White Solitaire writing instruments.
A commemorative Meisterstück White Solitaire Fountain Pen, Rollerball and Ballpoint Pen with its cap and barrel in precious white lacquer and red gold fittings have been decorated with references to Singapore’s special anniversary. The forepart of the writing instruments is engraved with the city’s skyline, while the 18K gold nib of the fountain pen is elegantly embossed with the lion’s head and the “SG 50” symbol. A piece of writing history limited to just 500 pieces, the Singapore Special Edition is available in Classique size Fountain Pen of 100 pieces, Rollerball of 200 pieces and Ballpoint Pen of 200 pieces.
Limited to just 50 pieces, the Star Classique Singapore Special Edition timepiece is characterized by a pure white mother-of-pearl dial with Arabic numerals, and the precious red gold-plated feuille hour and minute hand, delivering perfect readability. The slim 39mm red gold case of the watch contributes to the watch’s streamlined aesthetic, while the narrow, vertically protruding horns curve slightly downward to give this watch an anatomical contour that fits perfectly around its wearer’s wrist. The onion shape crown is inlaid with the Montblanc emblem. A black alligator-skin strap with red gold pin buckle nicely contrasts with the case and dial. The small second a “6 o’clock” with its red hand features the Lion’s head, the traditional symbol introduced by the Government in 1986 to capture’s Singapore reputation as the Lion City. Under the lion, features the inscription “SG 50”. A pane of sapphire crystal in the back of the case features Singapore’s skyline, which outlines some of the most iconic buildings of the Lion City including Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer and the Gardens by the Bay.
Montblanc Singapore will donate a portion of the proceeds raised through the sale of every unique SG 50 writing instrument or timepiece to the Pathlight School’s Poor and Needy Fund. Under this campaign, proceeds will aid in providing critical and essential services to help children with special needs to reach their potential.
