There are four types of Circumference Measurement

Bust Measurements

To take the bust measurement place the measuring tape across bust points and back.

Waist Measurements

Place the measuring tape around the waist.

We all know there is a ribbon tape of ½ inch around the waist. Top edge of the ribbon, bottom edge of the ribbon and middle line of the ribbon (as shown in the pic below). While taking any vertical measurement if you need to determine which is the waist level- you can take any one of the three( above, middle, bottom). Just make sure you use any one of the three every time.

Abdomen Measurements

Three inches below the waist.

Measure 3 inches from the waist level all around i.e from centre front, centre back, and side seams

Hip Measurements

To find the hip, it is important to measure the widest area in the lower abdomen. The measuring tape should be parallel with the floor.
