The house of Jitrois is referencing the past to build the future for its Spring Summer 2015 collection. 1980’s silhouettes typical to the house have been re-worked with new techniques and shapes. Models were seen in the Space Odyssey like Parisian apartment of Jean Claude Jitrois, in structured jackets and full skirts creating cocoon like silhouettes. The near mathematical rhythm of ergonomic bands leads your eye through a landscape of modernity: lustrous whites, deep blues, yellows, oranges, signature blacks, champagnes, and blazing reds. An introductory promise of faraway spring is present in the form of embroidered, cut-away, leather roses. The florals are hand embroidered and mixed with numerous fabrics and pieces throughout the collection.
As a progression from Autumn Winter 2014, technology is introduced to create precise perfection in digital laser cut and bonded pieces as a woven trompe l’oeil. A bold line up of rich fluidity is prominent for this Spring Summer collection. The signature “minoray technique” is reworked to become lighter, using Venetian style leather bands floating with ‘jour échelle’ and
thread-like ribbons to offer glimpses of skin through the garments.
