Automobile manufacturer, Infiniti Motor Company, recently made donations in excess of US$1 million to college basket ball charities as part of its ongoing support for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

For the second year in a row, Coach Thad Matta and the Ohio State Buckeye fans claimed victory in the annual Infiniti Coaches Charity Challenge. Coach Matta’s charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio was presented with a check in the amount of US$100,000. Moreover, in recognition for their participation in the eight-week challenge the other 47 coaches’ designated charities did not go empty handed – Infiniti awarded them each, US$5000.

With its continued dedication to the NBAC, Infiniti awarded US$765,000 to Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the NABC. The whopping figure is due to the large amount of fan participation in the “Round by Round” bracket game. Infiniti had pledged to donate to the program each time a fan took part in the game.
