Distinguished cognac house Martell organized a lavish media luncheon, complete with its signature libation, to announce the second ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu, a unique juried award aimed at recognizing the artistic virtuosity of Singaporean photographers. Winners will be revealed in June this year, with the top prize winner receiving S$30,000 in cash and their body of work published in a special pictorial.
Held in conjunction with the Month of Photography Asia, the award honors some of the most outstanding photographers in Singapore. Nominated photographers were shortlisted by a jury team comprised of highly-respected experts in the arts scene, including Simon Bainbridge, editor of the British Journal of Photography; Agnes de Gouvion Saint-Cyr, Curator of Photography, France; and Kwok Kian Chow, Director of The National Art Gallery, Singapore.
