Premium bubbly house G.H.MUMM held the worldwide debut of its in Singapore, a campaign designed to inject a dash of formality into the ritual clinking and drinking of champagne.
Held at the lush Tangong Beach Club, the poolside and beachfront were decked out with cushions and parasols bearing G.H.Mumm’s signature cordon rouge.
G.H.Mumm butlers wearing red gloves were on hand to ply guests and friends of the label with champagne, served in G.H.Mumm branded champagne flutes, each filled with a wedge of strawberry for a touch of color and quirky sophistication.
A specially designed ice sculpture set the stage for the introduction of the champagne food pairing, with magnums of G.H.Mumm champagne encapsulated in the ice serving as a backdrop for the delicate platters of fresh seafood that complemented and played off the flavor profiles of the creamy flutes of fruity bubbly.
The art of sabrage was also on full display at the party. As a souvenir of their bravado, those who sabered a bottle got to bring home the sabered champagne cork in a special G.H.Mumm pouch.
Another cherished practice, the decanting of champagne, stole the show with the setting up of the new G.H.Mumm champagne fountain. A decanting device with a hexagonal top and thin grooves that allow for the aeration of the ambrowsia, the champagne fountain was a sophisticated update of the traditional champagne tower.
Finally, the celebratory nature of champagne drinking was brought home with a fashion show featuring models in theatrical hats, underscoring G.H.Mumm’s commitment to encouraging drinkers to dress up and have fun.
Music took over as guests partied till late to the music by The Synth Experience, featuring prominent local keyboardist Amanda Ling – a fitting end to a night designed to engage and excite all senses.
