Savor panoramic views of Bangkok’s city lights with the establishment of stylish rooftop restaurant – ZENSE Gourmet Deck and Lounge Panorama.
Developed by Central Retail Corporation, the 130-million baht (or about US$3.6 million) concept is but part one of project Destiny – a four level rooftop dining experience, based on the four elements of earth, water, air and fire atop Zen departmental store in Central World.
The 4,000 sq m arena sits on the 17th storey of the building and has a seating capacity of more than 400, a standing capacity of an additional 300, and half of its space tellingly devoted to al-fresco dining, capitalizing on its high altitudes and capacity for scenic pleasures.
Designed by Siam Architectural Society Award winner Amata Lhupaiboon, the restaurant focuses on creating a relaxing ambience, with plush seats, timber flooring and soft lights as well as a DJ booth delivering soothing house music in line with its earth elemental theme.
Food variety is also a major emphasis at Zense, with four different kitchens by Bangkok’s top restaurants churning out various genres of cuisines to satisfy modern taste buds.
Thai foods on the menu come from White Café while The Kikusui are responsible for Japanese cuisine, followed by Italian food by Gianni Ristorante and finally Indian by Red. Opening daily from 5.30pm-midnight for dinner, guests can also look forward to late night drinks at the outdoor bar.
