For Givenchy’s fall-winter 2015 campaign, the brand is defying tradition by tapping Donatella Versace as the face of its latest ads. Creative director Riccardo Tisci shared a preview of the feature on Instagram with the caption: “So proud and honored to introduce my new ultimate icon: Donatella Versace…Givenchy Family Campaign”
The pair pose in profile in a black and white image captured by Mert & Marcus with styling by Carine Roitfeld. Surprise casting has become part of Tisci’s reign at Givenchy. From actress Julia Roberts last season to transgender and albino models, the designer goes for a different direction with almost every season.
