Maison Ventury Paris, the couture furniture arm of French private investment group Ventury Group, dedicates their debut collection entirely to the unassuming lounge chair.
Called “Divine”, the collection of lounge chairs is an eclectic mixture of past and present where the modern, undulating silhouette of the chair contrasts sharply with its ornately carved, retro glam legs.
Founder Emmanuel Touraine looked to the legendary glamour and poise of the Parisian eighties for inspiration, and infused the bold designs with his philosophy of marrying modernity with tradition.
Further evidence of this sensibility can be seen with the addition of studded décor wrapped around the chair’s legs much like a rebellious choker. Available in limited editions, the handcrafted lounge chairs come in several versions and materials.
