As Naomi Campbell strode out on opening night of Digital Fashion Week 2013, one thought occurred through our minds: She’s still got it after all these years. “Elegance and decorum.” Zen Chi has probably painted these two ideas across the runway with the blessings from the original supermodel.
These are the garments that make one a God (Goddess for that matter). They have an appealingly light and effortless quality that retains through the collection. This isn’t just a fantasy which only the ebony Aphrodite could grace in, but a case of art imitating life.
The goddess in you can handpick the champion piece for a girl’s night out, with plenty to choose from here: canary yellow numbers with an understated tint of luxury, or jet black shift dresses matched with slim belts for a class above the rest.
Among the variations Zen Chi showed, the nude renditions were particularly refreshing. It was easy to romance the audience, and the collection has managed to do so through soft draping and the slightest touch of accessories. All in all, a gorgeous ZENCHI outing.
