There’s just something about this classic Canadian beauty and her animated personality. In an exclusive interview with Elite Model Amanda Dyer, we were instantly won over by her charm, wit and refined style.
How did you start modeling? Where were you discovered?
I started modeling locally in my home town (Windsor, Canada) at the age of 12. I won a global modeling competition and was signed by Elite Canada at the age of 14. From there Elite sent me around the world and I lived everywhere from New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong etc and now here in Singapore.
How would you define your style?
I would have to say it’s a mix between classic, chic and Avant Garde.
What would you not be caught dead doing?
If you’re dead then it wouldn’t matter so the skies the limit!!!
If you could give an aspiring model one piece of advice, what would it be?
A lot of models do not take modeling seriously they have to understand its a job just like anything else and one must always be professional and bring a positive attitude (every day) to the workplace.
There are thousands of models out there – if you do not have a positive personality they will eat you up and spit you out.
What turns you on?
My Boyfriend turns me on that’s all you need to know 😉
What’s the best part of your new job overall?
The best part of my job is traveling to different places meeting new people and learning about different cultures.
Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?
I get my inspirations from Magazines, Celebrities, Designers, fashion websites and just from people whom I work with in the Industry.
If you weren’t an elite model what would you be?
Would love to own a restaurant/bar either in the city or on an Island somewhere.
What are your 4 must haves in your bag?
Concealer, blush, Mirror and lip gloss.

Outgoing, trustworthy, tenacious, loving, adventurous and ‘brutally’ Honest 🙂

Like I’m going to tell you!!

What would you not do in Singapore that you did overseas?
Snow boarding! (Snow city is not the same as Whistler)
Who in the fashion and modeling industry have you always wanted to work with?
To be honest I have been very blessed and have worked with some of the best in the industry so anyone I would have wanted to work with I already have.
