Van Cleef & Arpels, the French jeweller, is planning on doubling its presence in China within the coming year.
Chief Executive, Stanislas De Quercize, revealed at a summit on luxury and creativity in Paris: “We have four boutiques in mainland China, we will have eight.”
Van Cleef & Arpels is just one of a number of brands increasingly focused on meeting Chinese demand for luxury goods. Referring to China, Quercize acknowledged: “this is a priority number one.”
The jeweler is also planning on opening three boutiques in the Middle East including one in Kuwait, one in Qatar and one in Bahrain.
