Swiss watchmaking legend Vacheron Constantin brought its Kallista 30th Anniversary & High Jewellery Timepieces exhibition to Hong Kong recently. While the Kallania and Kalla Flame of 2009 are indeed new watches, they reference the marriage of haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie embodied by the 1979 Kallista.
Of course, the brand reached further into the past for the current collection, looking as back as far as their first jewelry watch in 1812 for inspiration. Collectors got a chance to see this when the brand brought out a replica of the 1979 wactch for the exhibition.
In Hong Kong, the exhibition was held at the Vacheron Constantin 1881 Heritage boutique. A select group of collectors, press and the city’s elite were treated to a special preview of the exhibition, as you can see in the pictures featured here.
