Son Sue-kyung – I Am

Even if you are not a classical music fan, who can resist the sounds of an enchanting and talented electronic violinist, with flawless fairy-like features & skills unmatchable.

Sue Son is not only a master of her trade with her high proficiency and technique but her music is definitely packed full of spirit, with the addition of  her very own personal flavor and unique flare. There is something delicate yet dynamic about her music, much like her personality perfectly package into her debut album I AM.

The Britain’s Got Talent Series 3 semifinalist, who turned heads last year with a single plus guest appearances in I Am A Singer among others, has released her debut album which covers an impressive array of styles and themes inspired by perhaps her own rendezvous. Not to mention collaborations with some really impressive names that were involved – Jung Tae-chun being the most surprising example.

Her pieces range from evocative, high-energy, & rock-based  like Chaos to more heavier, & ponderous compositions like, 청야비가 (Song of Blue Night and Sorrow), which is four minutes of 2012′s most frigid, profound reflections in violin and zhonghu.

While Son’s violin work obviously takes center stage, the amount of other dazzling ear candy in I Am is absolutely fabulous, bringing out the best traits of its featured artists.
