Six stellar chefs from South East Asia will be cooking at the Koh Samui beach resort, Napasai, from February 23-25.
The Orient-Express managed retreat will showcase cuisine from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Indonesia; all co-ordinated by its Executive Chef, Gilles Galli.
Participating chefs include Alexis Voisin of La Residence d’Angkor, Cambodia; Nicolas Reynard of La Residence Phou Vao, Laos; Iain Murray of The Governor’s Residence, Myanmar; Bansani Nawisamphan of Ubud Hanging Gardens, Bali; and Michele Greggio of Jimbaran Puri Bali, Bali.
Several of the world’s most awarded chefs are supporting the event including Marc Veyrat (the first chef to receive a perfect grade of 20/20 in the Gault-Millau Guide), three Michelin Star Chef, Anne Sophie, as well two Michelin Star Chef, Stephane Raimbault.
Veyrat said: “Chef Gilles Galli is a key figure promoting French cuisine around the world and I am very proud to support him.”
Profits from the cooking extravaganza will go towards Thailand’s Foundation for Slum Child Care.
