Renowned Italian designer Simonetta Ravizza showed her Fall Winter 2014 collection today on the start of Milano Fashion Week.
It is no longer the time for digressions, let’s be concrete. And so, leather and fur are merged, and camouflaged, with a savvy interplay. Colours play a fundamental role in this dialogue: green, burgundy and blue. Inlay decorations, stripes and mottled patterns. It is like entering an enchanted forest, inhabited by proud and romantic creatures that are sensual and enlightened. Fur is a like the artist’s palette, like a work of art. Contaminations and hints of Rothko’s art: graphic motifs in block patterns on mink, chinchilla and fox create, through their material textures and combinations, incredible effects of reflections and impressions of their contemporary nature. – from Simonetta Ravizza.
The designer who’s known for her work with leather and fur, which no doubt goes best with the fall winter season has masterfully displayed a splendid dedication to the craft.
