The Lounge & Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong-Kong has made provisions for offering its guests an opulent culinary experience. In collaboration with Italian jewelry brand, Damiani, hotel chefs have prepared a luxurious afternoon tea treat. Drawing inspiration from the jeweler’s Belle Epoque collection, the chefs at Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong has created edible chocolate pendants adopting the intense ruby shades as well as the vintage look of the cross necklace in the collection. Other deserts take form in vibrant colors of pink gold, orange diamond and colored gems including sapphires, emerald and rubies, which have been adapted into delicious pastries, the likes of a five textured limoni tea “cake”, golden Sicilian pistachio and raspberry croissants and other savories such as tomato jelly martini.
The afternoon tea also includes delicacies inspired by Damiani’s Gomitolo ring collection, which has been adapted as an “illy” tarte with a cascade of Ivory chocolate cream, reflecting the intricately woven sinuous bands. Apart from that, even the Damiani logo has been creatively used by the chefs to create charming pendants that give a young and trendy touch to the afternoon tea.
Ritz-Carlton’s Damiani jewelry afternoon tea treat is available at the hotel’s Lounge & Bar from 1st to 30th September 2013, between 3pm to 6pm at HK$388 ($50) for one and HK$618 ($80) for two, including the three-tier tea set and a choice of tea or coffee.
Guests also have the option to indulge in the afternoon treat while enjoying opulence at the world’s tallest hotel at a special room rate of HK$4,988 (approx. $640) per room per night inclusive of Damiani afternoon tea for two persons.
