Piaget has released a new video campaign for their upcoming spring collection of luxury watches. Directed by Romain Chassaing and produced by Solab, the film uses director of photography Julien Meurice in China and India and director of photography Fabien Benzaquen in various packshots.
Titled A Mythical Journey, the footage takes the viewer on travels around the world, crossing the roads of Chang’an and traversing the Indian mountains. The landscapes and mythos of each location are the inspiration for the collection—peacocks represented through detailed bands or cranes shown in flight around a watch face. This sense of adventure and journey is illustrated through each piece, tempting the wearer to venture out into unknown worlds and experience exotic locales.
The new collection will host 32 new pieces highlighting the architecture, flora and fauna found along the silk and spice roads in Asia.
