Not satisfied with traditional flying options for their pooch, Dan and Alysa Binder have decided to start a new airline that would exclusively fly only dogs and cats.
Launching in the US in May this year, Pet Airways has a fleet of turbo-prop airplanes, namely the Beechcraft 1900, which offers first-class travel for your beloved pet for as low as $149.
Seats and overhead bins have been removed from these customized jets, and instead will house private pet carriers with built-in safety features.
The only humans onboard will be pet attendants who will ensure that your Jack Russell gets regular potty breaks and check on their comfort during their flight.
And if you are running late to pick up your pet, rest assured that Dover will be well taken care of in the Pet Lounge. The staff at Pet Airways would even be happy to board your pet overnight at the PAWS Lodge.
For now, it’s only dogs and cats, but the airline may consider other pets in future. Well, every dog (and cat) has its day.
