Aaron Kwok, Longines Ambassador of Elegance, sports a watch from the Saint-Imier collection
Longines’ Saint-Imier collection sees the Swiss watch manufacture pay tribute to the fertile lands on which it was found.
Treading the line between classic and contemporary, the shape of the case – inspired by a 1945 watch model – is a common theme throughout the collection. The sleek lines and distinctive lugs allow the watch to rest comfortably on the wearer’s wrist while the hands, echoing the Saint Imier’s stylish contours, are luxuriantly dipped in Super-LumiNova. Intricate workings of the mechanical movements are admired through the transparent sapphire back cover.
Decked out in steel, rose gold or a combination of the two, the most classic of the three models, the Saint-Imier features hours, minutes, seconds and dates on the dial. Wearers get a choice between a 26 mm or 38.5 mm case.
The Saint-Imier Chronograph is fitted – alongside the hours, minutes and seconds – with an L688 column-wheel movements specially developed and produced by ETA for Longines. In addition to a centre sweep seconds, the 30-minute and 12-hour counters are punctuated at 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock respectively. Available only in one size, the 39 mm case is made of steel, steel and rose gold or rose gold alone.
The Saint-Imier Retrograde Moon Phases combines the moon phases, the day and night indications with 4 retrograde functions – day, date, small seconds and the 24-hour second time zone. All of the models are fitted with a black or brown alligator strap, or steel and rose gold bracelet, with a folding safety clasp to match.
