Kempinski may be Europe’s oldest luxury hotel brand but age has not slowed it down one bit, as evidenced by the opening of its first independently managed hotel in greater Delhi. The 480-room Kempinski Ambience Hotel Delhi is arranged into two distinct towers connected by a skybridge; each tower has dedicated entrances, lobbies and check-in desks. Kempinski is particularly proud of the event or banquet capacity of the property, which spans 70,000sqf and includes India’s largest ballroom without pillars.
The hotel, which is open for business now, also boasts four restaurants – Café Knosh (all-day dining), Dilli 32 (Indian specialty restaurant), Mei Kun (Asian restaurant) and Casaluna (Italian restaurant) – two heated outdoor swimming pools, a glass-enclosed bar Cherry Bar) and a variety of other facilities. In a nice touch, things come in pairs here, including fitness centers and business centers, presumably one to each tower. The hotel is located in Shahdara, East Delhi, which is quite a lovely location.
