Whisky imbibers will know that one of the best accompaniments to a glass of their favorite Scotch is a full-bodied, hand-rolled cigar. Now, they can have the best of both worlds with the new Dalmore Cigar Malt reserve.
The new expression, aged in 30 year old Oloroso Sherry butts, American White Oak and premier cru Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques, is redolent with the warm aroma of cinnamon, vanilla and berries. On the palate, the Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve boasts tropical fruity notes, hints of banana toffee and vanilla ice cream, with a long, spicy finish of orange zest and bergamot.
How to savor the drink? Take it from The Dalmore Master Distiller himself, Richard Paterson, who says: “It’s a great match to a number of cigars but I would highly recommend enjoying it with a Partagas No2 Cigar as in my opinion the flavours work in perfect harmony together.”
The Dalmore Cigar Malt reserve will be available from late February.
