The new CX 480
Fun stuff: German fine kitchen specialists Gaggenau will be presenting Singapore’s first-ever white truffle hunt later this month, to celebrate the launch of its award-winning CX 480 full surface induction hob. Participants of the white truffle hunt will also stand a chance to win the ultimate truffle experience: a trip for two to the home of the white truffle in Piedmont, Italy.
On October 27, Gaggenau will launch its first full surface induction cooktop, the CX 480. Built for the multi-tasking home cook, the full surface induction cooktop CX 480 allows cookware of any size and shape to be placed anywhere on its surface – up to four pots and pans can be used simultaneously.
To drum up publicity for the launch of the CX 480, Gaggenau has invited its culinary ambassador, award-winning chef Ryan Clift of Tippling Club, to design an exquisite journey of sensorial revelations for 5 lucky winners and their guests to experience on the launch date. Each participant will be picked up in an Audi limousine from home and chauffeured to the Gaggenau Experience Center to embark on this gastronomic journey.
The first clue for the white truffle hunt will be revealed at the Gaggenau Experience Center, and participants will have to scour various venues as they compete to find the location of the white truffles. Participants of the hunt will also be invited to a gala dinner, where one lucky winner will win a trip for two to Alba, Piedmont, Italy.
When asked about the reason for celebrating the launch of CX 480 with a white truffle hunt, Sven Szesny, Marketing Director of Gaggenau Asia said: “Like all Gaggenau appliances, the white truffle is a culinary object of desire. White truffles, often dubbed the ‘white diamonds’,are costly both because of its extreme rarity and rich complex aromas and flavours.”
