Fairmont Hotels is launching its award-winning Willow Stream spa in two more locations in China, adding to the first one which opened earlier this year at the Fairmont Yangcheng Lake in Kunshan.
The spas are scheduled to make their debuts at the Fairmont Beijing and the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai in the Summer and Fall respectively.
“We’re thrilled to finally be in China as energy renewal is at the core of Willow Stream’s concept, and is also a central theme in traditional Chinese healing philosophy,” said Anne McCall Wilson, Vice President of Spas for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.
At the Fairmont Beijing every treatment begins with the deep breathing exercise of Qigong and the building’s rose gold façade (below) is mirrored in a series of treatments based on the healing properties of rose.
Meanwhile in Shanghai the therapies embrace the city’s golden era by mixing European and Chinese influences, and the the ‘mystic knot’ (a series of interlinked figures of “8′”) forms the inspiration for their signature massage.
