Building on the CLASSIC Collection released last year, David Yurman has launched a new limited edition timepiece, the CLASSIC 1957®.
The new model is inspired by American sports cars and features Arabic numerals, big date, orange hour, small seconds hand and gauge-like small seconds display. The perforated calf strap is supposed to resemble a driving glove, while inside the 43.5mm stainless steel case you’ll find a Swiss automatic Dubois Dépraz movement offering a 40-hour power reserve.
Evan Yurman, Design Director of Men’s Jewelry and Timepieces, said: “There’s an American spirit and sensibility you can see in one of my favourite classic American automobiles. The 1957 Thunderbird is aggressive, sleek, adventurous and thoroughly modern. It inspired my imagination in trying to articulate certain qualities and ideas through form.”
