In conjunction with SG50, Pernod Ricard Singapore presents a highly prized limited edition Chivas Regal Royal Salute 50-Year-Old. As befits its regality, the Royal Salute 50-Year-Old is bottled in a precious deep-blue porcelain flagon, adorned with a hand-chased and engraved plaque of the purest silver and 24K gold. Only 255 flagons were produced; in keeping with Pernod Ricard’s tradition of commemorating success, the first-numbered flagon was gifted to Sir Edmund Hillary to honor the 50th anniversary of his success in conquering Mount Everest together with Tenzing Norgay.

The original Royal Salute, a 21-year-old exceptionally aged blended Scotch whisky, was created in 1953 as a tribute to the Queen’s coronation. It was named after the 21-gun salute, which is the ultimate mark of respect created by the Royal Navy to pay tribute to heads of state. Containing a blend of whiskies that are aged for a minimum of 21 years each, the Royal Salute 21 Year Old is the finest example of the quality that well-aged whisky brings forth.
