Cartier recently presented a watch-making event entitled “Cartier, Shape Your Time” in Singapore, at Ngee Ann City’s Civic Plaza. The event celebrated the launch of the new Calibre de Cartier Diver collection and also brought together Cartier’s iconic masculine timepieces. The watch exhibits gave guests an insight into the Maison’s creativity, its rich vocabulary of shapes and complications that are ingeniously blended with aesthetic and technical innovations.
The event was attended by local celebrities, trend-setters and watch aficionados, who had the opportunity to get intimate with Cartier icons like Santos de Cartier, Tank, Ballon Bleu de Cartier, Calibre de Cartier and a selection of Fine Watch-making creations. Guests had the chance to experience a state-of the-art set up that included videos, 3D screens, touch screens, interactive books and tablets where they could personally discover the innovative stories of the French watchmaker/jeweler.
Cartier had Rafael de Cardenas, one of New York’s top architects, to imagine a unique design concept that represents a Cartier man’s living environment. The event space had dedicated areas that each highlighted specific aspects of an icon. A propeller suspended at the Santos venue represented the Maison’s link with Alberto Santos-Dumont the aviator, straight lines of the Roman numerals recalled Tank’s design codes, a sapphire blue cabochon at the Ballon Bleu area emphasized the crown design, and the ultra-masculine Calibre area at the very centre was the major focus of “Cartier, Shape Your Time”.
