Burberry introduces its back-to-nature themed Gardener bag collection along with its ready to wear Spring Summer 2009 collection.
Earthly color palettes which take their cue from its clothing pieces show up in weathered, sun-bleached tones like peat, stone and plum. The textures of the bags play up this understated collection with a range of fabrics including spayed alligator, patchwork raffia, and degradé bridle leather.
Alligator and degradé bridle leather trims provide an inkling of sturdiness, in contrast with the slouchy, relaxed shapes of the bags.
The bag collection is inspired by the romance of British summer gardens, and references the warm hospitality of tea parties and country homes.
