The second season of the “Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo” got underway this weekend at Hockenheim, and to mark the event Blancpain released a special watch.
The timepiece is called the L-evolution Super Trofeo 2010, and it features a titanium case with a carbon-fibre dial and lugs. The chronograph is equipped with a flyback function and it’s distinguished by appliques that mirror the Lamborghini Gallardo’s taillights as well as its oscillating weight that’s shaped like a double chequered flag.
Various drivers got behind the wheel of the new Blancpain-branded Gallardo LP560-4, but it was Blancpain’s President and CEO, Marc A. Hayek, driving alongside Peter Kox, who came out on top; claiming two victories and a second place finish.
The next race in the series will take place in Brno (Czech Republic) from May 22-23.
