It’s time for you to help spread this message “ Breast Cancer is CURABLE if detected early” and be a part of Breast Cancer Foundation‘s mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Breast cancer is the number one cancer affecting women in Singapore, with almost 8,000 new cases diagnosed between 2006 and 2010. Close to 20% of these cases prove fatal, but early detection and treatment can save breasts and save lives.
Pink is the signature colour of the global fight against breast cancer, here are some PINK Breast Cancer Awareness event happening in this month of October:
Pink Ribbon Market at Clarke Quay
Do your part for charity as part of the proceeds from our Clarke Quay Traders’ Market goes to the Breast Cancer Foundation this October. A monthly bazaar happening every third weekend of the month at Clarke Quay Central Fountain Square. Show your support for the cause by dressing up in pink and enjoy free candy floss with any spending at our Traders’ Market.
Operation Pink at Parkway Pantai Hospitals
October visitors to Gleneagles, Mount Elizabeth Orchard, Mount Elizabeth Novena and Parkway East will be dazzled by the colour pink, with their reception areas and lift lobbies dressed in this colour of hope and courage. Other then pink themed areas, hospitals’ frontline staff will all be wearing themed badges, friendly ambassadors will be roaming around to take pictures at the photo walls and you can even make donations to Breast Cancer Foundation via the boxes around the hospital premises, or buy a BCF pin at the hospitals’ front desks.
