Having previously reported on Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania Spring/Summer 2009, we noted the importance of panache in carrying off the grand old dame’s style. At the closing event of the Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore, panache was definitely in attendance, even if Westwood herself was not.
We were told that she had decided to limit her carbon footprint by travelling less but she did tape a message for the crowd in Singapore. On the runway, that message bore familiar references to privateers and saw the use of white, with accents of red, green, yellow and fuchsia.
