Recently, Chopard revisited its La Strada collection based Federico Fellini’s 1950s movie of the same name. On July 3rd, the fine jewelry and watch maker, unveiled the collection in Rome. It was an enchanting and Federico Fellini-themed night at the beautiful Teatro n°5 in Cinecitta. Attending the event were, Rodrigo Cipriani, President of Istituto Luce Cinecitta and Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard.
Highlights of the night included an exquisite dinner prepared by celebrated Italian Chef Igles Corelli, as well as a showcase by Italian trumpeter and composer Mauro Maur, who played famous themes of Fellini’s movies for the guests.
“Chopard has always been keen to support and accompany actors and actresses, and we wished to pay tribute with La Strada to the producer who perhaps did the most to put women in the spotlight. In designing this model, I found myself entranced by all these cinematographic images… Looking at a film reel and remembering the “San Pietrini” – the typical paving stones of the streets of Rome, inspired me for the lines of La Strada. This collection is a tribute to black and white movies, to Fellini’s film-making, and to the timeless appeal of cinema.” said Caroline Scheufele.
