Last week, fine Swiss manufacture Richard Mille played host to a cocktail gathering of 200 friends and distinguished guests of the brand in Shanghai. The star of the evening was of course tennis champ Rafael Nadal, who was in town for the Shanghai Masters series.
The evening was a visual feast for horological collectors and fans, who had the opportunity to admire the Rafael Nadal collection timepieces, RM027 and RM035, which were showcased together with the SIHH 2011 novelties.
The latest Richard Mille creations, including pieces like the RM017 and RM011 Asia limited editions, were also present and displayed in China for the first time. In addition to new collection preview, Richard Mille also highlighted the philanthropic achievements of Rafael Nadal’s charity initiative, the Foundation Rafa Nadal.
During the cocktail event, Richard Mille also announced its collaboration with the Rafa Nadal Foundation with the imminent launch of the RM 010, which will take place at a charity auction in Barcelona in December this year.
