Boots worn by Rio Ferdinand, John Terry and Wayne Rooney have been dipped in sparkling jewels and put up for sale.
7,444 precious stones have been soldered to the trio’s footwear. The studs were capped in black diamonds and set in white gold alongside diamonds and sapphires. They are the most expensive boots in history.
Renowned jeweller Steven Jordan (of the Assay Office) provided the critical valuation. He declared that John Terry’s were the shiniest, recommending a price tag of $218,000.
Former dancer and model Luisa Di Marco came up with the concept but it is all for a good cause. They will be sold at the VIP launch for Rio Ferdinand’s ‘Live the Dream Foundation.’
