Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay may take on Singapore’s hawkers in a cooking contest if he accepts a challenge issued by a group of local food bloggers.
Ramsay, known for hosting reality TV programmes about cooking and food, has been invited to pit his skills against three popular hawkers. The hawkers will be selected through a poll on the HungryGoWhere website.
The contest will determine if Singapore’s hawker fare can meet the standards of the prestigious Michelin guide.
Dr Leslie Tay (iEatiShootiPost), Daniel Ang (Daniel’s Food Diary), Catherine Ling (Camemberu), Philip Lim (Keropokman), Karen Wee (SuperFineFeline), Melissa Koh (Melicacy) and Rayner Ng (HisFoodBlog) formally issued him the challenge, with the support of SingTel.
