Warmly greeted by press and friends of the brand, Vanessa-Mae announced that she would be representing Thailand at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in the downhill skiing event, and said she was very happy to be OMEGA’s new spokesperson: “Sporty, dependable, classy: those are the words I associate with my OMEGA. I’m delighted and honoured that OMEGA, who plays such an important and historical role in the Olympics, embraced my originality, my integrity and my challenge.”

Igor Stolyarov also took the opportunity to reiterate his committee’s commitment to making the upcoming Olympic Winter Games a success: “I can assure you that like my watch, a Seamaster, which is more than ten years old it has never let me down, and we will never let you down.”
