Vacheron Constantin joins hands with the First Initiative Foundation in Hong Kong for the Celebration of Music gala dinner, where Hong Kong high society, purveyors of art and horology enthusiasts gathered for an elegant evening.

Since its inception in 1755, the watchmaking brand has committed itself to supporting excellence and passion, especially in the field of the arts. Guests marveled at the Vacheron Constantin Metier d’Art Openworked Collections, showcased in Asia for the first time. The ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel was transformed into a 19th century European railway station, also reminiscent of the Vacheron Constantin Mecanique Ajourees watch collection. A Vacheron Constantin watchmaker made a guest appearance at the dinner to demonstrate the meticulous craft of watchmaking.

A train dining cabin was decorated with pieces from China, France, India and the Ottoman Empire, a resplendent setting for a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Herve Fucho with the theme of a musical journey. Vacheron Constantin’s Metiers d’Art Fabuleux Ornements also debuted, and was reflected in the opulent table design, bursting with white florals.

The evening was complete with an exclusive musical performance from the Lang Lang Young Music Scholars. The troupe, supported by the FIF, featured Sherri Lun, a 10 year-old, performing ‘Nocturne, Op 19 No 4’ by Tchaikovsky; 12 year-old Matthew Chan performing ‘Consolations, Six Pieces, S172-No 2: Un poco piu mosso’ by Liszt and alumni scholars Kate Lee and Jonathan Lee performing a duet of ‘Franz Schubert Marches Militaires (3) for piano four hands, D733 (op51) No. 1’
