To kick off the start of the F1 season, Swiss fine watch manufacture TAG Heuer hosted a festive Grand Prix celebration at their Melbourne flagship, graced by dashing Formula One champ and TAG Heuer Ambassador Jenson Button.

A top-notch group of Australian luminaries and high-profile friends of the brand were spotted at the cocktail, including Brian McFadden and fiancé Vogue Williams; Miss Universe winner and TV personality Rachael Finch; model and personality Erika Heynatz; actor Jai Courtney; and ambassador of the 2012 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, Kate Peck.

Accompanying Jenson Button were other accomplished sporting personalities: Olympic gold medallists Lydia Lassila and Malcolm Paige; AFL footballers Scott Pendlebury, Sharrod Wellingham and Chris Dawes; and Rugby Union players Nick Phipps and Hugh Pyle.

Button made his appearance in true Formula One glamor, flanked by a bevvy of TAG Heuer Grid girls. In a meeting of titans from different sporting arenas, Collingwood superstar and vice captain, Scott Pendlebury, was on hand to present him with a signed AFL football. In return, Button gifted the footballer with a TAG Heuer cap signed by himself and fellow star team-mate, Lewis Hamilton.

Commenting on the convivial, relaxed evening of sporting stars and timepieces, TAG Heuer’s General Manager, Philip Richards said: “TAG Heuer has a longstanding relationship with Formula 1 and McLaren, and having a champion driver and TAG Heuer Ambassador appear at our flagship boutique allows us to celebrate our motor-racing DNA in true Formula One style.”
