The dust has settled after last weekend’s high-octane Singapore Grand Prix, and the roads are clear once more. But during that jam-packed weekend of fast cars and beautiful people, party-goers were spoiled for choice, with glamorous nightspots all over town amping up the volume for the nation’s racing event of the year. Here’s a pictorial retrospective of what went down at the iconic Marina Bay Sands.

First up in a long list of thrills was the appearance of the incandescent Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes, at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands’ Finish Line Bar. The gorgeous lady met with starstruck (and mostly male) fans for a meet-and-greet, escorted by a bevvy of former Ms Universe stunners.

Grammy award winning American rapper, Ludacris and offbeat newcomers LMFAO rocked the house at the Avalon Go! Concert, held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Ever the smooth-talker and ladies’ man, Ludacris took time off his schedule to congratulate Miss Lopes on her Miss Universe win. The photogenic pair met at KU DÉ TA, the rooftop bar and restaurant.

The rapper also took a leisurely soak at the resort’s breathtaking, 150-meter infinity pool, suspended 200 meters above ground. An avid social media user, Ludacris connected with his fans – and introduced the world to Singapore –  by tweeting about his experience, saying: “On top of the WORLD!”
