We reported on IWC Schaffhausen’s new boutique at ION Orchard Singapore here. For the official opening in September 2009, the brand brought in a heavyweight supporter, Ronan Keating.
The Irish performer, formerly of Boyzone, is a bona fide Friend of IWC and proved his credentials when he performed at the glitzy yet exclusive gala dinner in celebration of the launch. Also present were CEO of Orchard Turn Developments Pte Ltd Soon Su Lin, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen Georges Kern and General Manager of IWC South East Asia Goris Verburg.
The evening event took place at the Esplanade Theatre, where Singapore’s King of Jazz, Jeremy Monteiro and his amazing band served up musical treats to rival a splendid spread of food. In fact, the dinner was served on stage behind the band.
Reportedly, Keating was so impressed by the setting and Moteiro’s musical stylings that he literally burst into song. He belted out two numbers for the 150 or so guests.
