Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Grand World Tour Makes Singapore Stop


The inaugural Wine Advocate’s Grand World Tour will make a five-city stop from February through March with Singapore as the final stop from 13 – 16 March. The world tour will begin in Beijing from 27 – 27 February followed by Shanghai (1 – 2 March), Hong Kong (4 – 6 March), Kuala Lumpur (8 – 9 March).

Robert Parker will be in Singapore 13 to 16 March where attendees can get up close and personal with him on a journey into the fascinating world of wine appreciation. Robert M. Parker, Jr. is the only wine writer/critic in history to be given the highest honors by two French presidents, an Italian president and the king of Spain.

A series of events have will be held at The Fullerton Hotel for the Singapore stop.

Up Close and Personal with Robert Parker – 13 March at 7:00pm

An exclusive opportunity to dine alongside with Mr. Parker on the same table at “Up Close and Personal”, guests will enjoy specially selected exclusive wines from Mr Parker’s personal cellar in this very intimate session while relishing the best of Italian wines including Sassicaia 1985 and Lafite 1996.

Price: US $10,000 per person (A minimum attendance of 10 persons is required for the event to commence)

Gala Hedonist’s Dinner – 14 March at 7:00pm

The memorable Gala Hedonist’s Dinner will highlight twelve Italian wines from the Great Terroirs and Grapes of Italy, to be matched with a five to eight-course modern European dinner. Guests will enjoy an intimate conversation with a famed wine personality seated at every table, which includes members of The Wine Advocate’s esteemed reviewer team, prestigious winemakers and vineyard owners. Guests will get to savour classic wines such as Gaja Sorì San Lorenzo 2004 and Tenuta Dell’Ornellaia Ornellaia 2006.

Price: US $813 per person (US $650 for early bird reservations from now to 5 February)

“Taste of Greatness Masterclass – The Iconic Wines of Piedmont, Italy” – 16 March at 11:00am

This special master class will focus on a selection of Italy’s most iconic wines from Piedmont, the region known to produce the most renowned, noble, and award-winning wines. The masterclass will feature discussions with Robert Parker, Lisa Perrotti-Brown and Monica Larner along with Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Asili Red Label Riserva 2004 and Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Rabaja 2010 wines.

Price: US $400 per person (US $320 for early bird reservations from now to 5 February)
