Rihanna created quite a stir at the recent CFDA Fashion Awards with her sheer dress designed by Adam Selman and today her new fragrance ad for Rogue perfume is causing a commotion among the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The ASA, per their website is ‘the UK’s independent regulator of of advertising across all media.” According to The Guardian, the organization deemed the racy chanteuse’s fragrance ad as being too “sexually suggestive.”

The ad features the singer sitting against a wall with her legs raised next to a bottle of perfume. “While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we considered that Rihanna’s pose, with her legs raised in the air, was provocative,” said the ASA. “Because of this, and the fact that Rihanna appeared to be naked except for high heels, we concluded that the ad was sexually suggestive and should have been given a placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being seen by children.” The ASA determined that the ad must not appear without placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being seen by children.
