Panerai officially welcomed shoppers to its first Asian flagship this month. Taking up residence in the prestigious ION Orchard, the 120-meter-square boutique is being touted as the largest Panerai boutique in the world.
Taking cues from classic Italian design, the interior is decked out in Gold Calacatta marble flooring and Venetian stucco wall finishing. A large wall clock adorns one side of the room, showcasing one of Panerai’s proudest inventions – the ‘sandwich dial’.
The boutique encompasses different areas for patrons to immerse themselves in the history of the 152-year-old manufacture. Science will house a replica of the telescope used by Galileo Galilei in 1610 for his first celestial observations, whereas Technology flaunts the brand’s technical depth.
