Luxury Italian furnishings house Minotti has opened its first UK boutique in London’s West End.

The 380 sq m space in Margaret Street W1, conceptualized by the brand’s artistic director Rodolfo Dordoni, will allow Minotti to present its entire range of furnishings – from sofas, armchairs and coffee tables to bookcases, beds, rugs and textiles.

Speaking to Wallpaper magazine in a recent interview, Dordoni highlights the increasing importance of the monobrand store to the business development of Minotti, which despite its leading position in contemporary Italian furnishings, remains a family enterprise run by brothers Renato and Roberto Minotti.

“By presenting the pieces in an environment like this, the customer gets to see them in context so you are really selling the whole style,’ he says. Minotti’s new collection, which is inspired by the earthy tones of nature, will be shown at the Salone del Mobile in April. Standout pieces from the new collection include the Helion sofa and the Smith ‘panca’.
