Alyssa Sutherland is a Woodland Fairy in Mimco‘s Spring/Summer 2011 campaign. Photographed by Christian Blanchard in regional Victoria, the “Wilderness Manifesto” collection is inspired by the magic that exists at the bottom of the garden.
Nature at it’s finest, combines with trash that was once treasure, the pioneering and irreverent spirit of the gypsy as well as the unseen yet always present, world of the fairy. The 60’s, 70’s, and late 80’s, early 90’s are the strongest influences for the season, with each era bringing a different element to the collection, but morphing together to create a new modern.
