Massimo Casagrande is proud to present his Fall/Winter 2014 collection as part of Fashion East Menswear Installations.

The collection draws inspiration from Massimo’s obsession with the sculptures of Giacometti and Rebecca Warren and concrete works by Adrian Villar Rojas which have led him to develop the theme of texture and surfaces throughout this FW14 collection.

Artist Adam McEwen and his latest exhibition “Rehabilitating the Steinway Tube Ducts”, a new series of photographed New York sidewalks covered with gum and printed onto cellulose sponge – the prints present themselves as black and white abstract paintings with suggested skylines created by the marks on the ground – is another key influence this season. Leading Massimo to collaborate with sculptor Stephen Morgan to develop a tactility theme throughout which sees details, inserts and prints inspired by materials such as silicone, concrete and bubble wrap.

Maintaining the trademarks of his previous collections; fabric blocking, layering and attention to detail and by developing it further with the addition of removable collars and print, Massimo’s FW14 collection presents innovative materials and use of fabrics delivering a bold and graphic collective of garments mixing classical lines with a contemporary elegance.
