It’s “Hard Out There For A Bitch”, sings Lily Allen in her new single, after her four-year hiatus.
In it, the UK singer takes potshots at the music industry that insists on perfection – the video opens with Allen being subjected to liposuction as she protests that she’s had two kids – and sex.
There’s lots of ironic twerking and a scene in which Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke is parodied (we can’t describe it without getting slapped with a fine). Anyone who “can’t detect the sarcasm”, she sings, has “misunderstood”.
