Parisian fashion and luxury powerhouse Hermès presents their new Spring Summer Collection of fine silk scarves for 2009, this time rich with prints embodying the spirit of travel and exploration.
Vibrant colors paint images of voyages on the high seas and sailing through the sky to the far reaches of the world, transporting one into a land of a traveler’s dreams, full of exotic flora and fauna, brightly colored costumes and rich cultural histories.
Both their “Beautiful Escape” and “People of the Wind” lines in the collection pay homage to the wandering spirit, thirst for adventure, and sense of wonder deep in the heart of someone hungry to discover the secrets of foreign lands.
On top of the silk twill carrés the maison is so famous for, this year’s Spring Summer Collection will also feature an additional line, the Carré Fluide, affording more comfort, stretch and fluidity with the use of high quality elastic jersey silk.
In addition, ponchos with a floaty, almost ethereal feel thanks to the use of chiffon silk, luxurious cashmere silk shawls, and light cotton pieces complete the collection.
