The culinary scene in Singapore is set to receive a megadose of star power, as the world’s most Michelin-star decorated chef, Joël Robuchon, opens the doors to two highly-anticipated restaurants at Resorts World Sentosa on April 28. Mr. Robuchon’s restaurants, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Joël Robuchon Restaurant, will mark the celebrated chef’s debut in Southeast Asia. This is also the first time two of his restaurants are located at a joint, custom-built premise, giving guests the unprecedented choice of two unique Robuchon dining concepts at each visit.

The L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Joël Robuchon Restaurants will serve what the 26-starred Michelin chef does best: exquisitely crafted French haute cuisine made from the best and freshest ingredients available, using signature Robuchon-developed techniques. Guests will also be able to sample new creations inspired by local ingredients and culture.

On opening in Singapore, Mr. Robuchon said: “Tourism in Singapore is booming and people are constantly on the look out for new and sophisticated lifestyle and dining concepts.”

“Resorts World Sentosa is a phenomenal development with an impressive variety of attractions, entertainment and F&B offerings. Opening here was a natural choice. I am excited to be working with the team to extend the Joël Robuchon experience to Singapore and guests of RWS.”

A living legend in the culinary world, Mr. Robuchon has a staggering 26 Michelin stars to his name. With 20 restaurants spanning ten cities across the globe, Mr. Robuchon, 66, is renowned for being the youngest chef ever in Michelin history to gain three Michelin stars for his first restaurant, Jamin, in Paris in 1984. A bona fide icon in the industry, Mr. Robuchon was also awarded the title of ‘Chef of the Century’ by the Guide Gault Millau in 1989.
