Taking a more erudite inspiration as a starting point, the Jack Wills Autumn 2015 collection rediscovers the great scholastic classics – the argyle knit, the heritage blazer, the pussycat bow blouse – mixing them together with unexpected sports-inspired pieces. In true Jack Wills style, the Autumn collection is the embodiment of ‘timeless with a twist’; a new uniform for the season to suit everyone from the studious day dreamer to the sporting rebel.

Autumn sees outerwear steal the limelight – the classic duffle coat assumes hero status updated in cornflower blue with a checked lining. The label styled up with an exploded gingham woven scarf in the same tone, playing on scale and proportion. The elegantly cut and tailored camel Crombie coat is set to become a new Jack Wills signature piece and not to be forgotten is the schoolboy-inspired Prince of Wales check suit, re-imagined in a beautiful, feminine cut – break the rules and add trainers and a cropped knit.

“By playing with scale and proportion and adding touches like fluorescent pops of colour to our heritage pieces, we’ve created a collection that is reassuringly familiar but unexpected too.” said Richard Nicoll, Jack Wills’ Creative Director.

Richard and the design team focused on fine details and finishing; from the hand embroidered flourishes on the classic wool cape to the traditional detailing on the Aran knits. Classic cables are re-worked in eye popping neons. A striped school scarf, woven by Johnstons of Elgin, has been re-worked in Jack Wills’ very own house colors of pink and blue.
